The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) selected participants from various Asian countries who are either involved in ensuring food safety and quality or senior managers in the food industry.
The aim of the mission was to gather new knowledge on quality control and inspection systems for food products and to learn the latest trends in legislation, policy and institutional settings.
Content of the study tour:
- Presentations on state regulations e.g. from the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture and the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment
- Presentations on private regulations e.g. International Featured Standards and GlobalG.A.P.
- Company visits
