Study on the potential of organic aquaculture in East Africa

Organic Services has been appointed by IFOAM to conduct a scoping study on the potential of organic aquaculture in East Africa.

The project is part of the Organic Standards in East Africa Programme (OSEA II) and includes Burundi, Kenya, Ruanda, Tanzania and Uganda to develop a regional standard for organic aquaculture. The results of the project will be presented in a workshop in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in July 2013. Organic Services will carry out the project in co-operation with his aquaculture network partner Albert Altena, MD of Aquatic Blue - Consultancy for sustainable and organic aquaculture.
