The Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands supports small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) from developing and transition countries in gaining access with their products to the European market. CBI assigned Organic Services GmbH to conduct a Value Chain Analysis in Peru for the following six market sectors:

1.         Fresh and processed exotic fruit
2.         Grains, pulses and edible nuts
3.         Specialty coffees and cacao
4.         Fishery products
5.         Other natural ingredients for food, pharmaceuticals or cosmetics
6.         Garments

The results of the Value Chain Analysis will be the basis for CBI to decide on a new integrated country programme for Peru from March 2013 on.
