SANA is the leading exhibition for certified organic produce, herbal products, and natural and organic cosmetics in Italy. In 2013, SANA celebrated its 25th anniversary from September 7-10, 2013.

Since many years Gerald A. Herrmann, director of Organic Services, participates as speaker in the accompanying workshop organized by Consorzio il Biologico. Consorzio il Biologico is the Italian organization in the organic food industry, which works on promotion, information and education activities about organic.

In the last years, Gerald A. Herrmann was invited as expert e.g. on market related subjects or sustainability.  In 2013, the subject “Can organic feed the world?” was discussed.

In his speech Gerald A. Herrmann demanded a paradigm shift to end hunger in the world towards an organic smallholder agriculture.
