Organic Cotton Project  

This project involves a group of 45 farmers with a total 520 acres in the Village of Kallur and surroundings in Gadag Taluka of Karnataka. These have been selected after a detailed screening process involving interview with the farmers and their families, inspecting their fields.

The project envisages setting up a business of growing certified organic cotton over an area of 5000 acres in the Lakshmisara area of North Karnataka near the city of Hubli, processing (ginning, spinning, dying, weaving, and tailoring in to garments and other products) in the same area.
