Gerald A. Herrmann is member of the executive board since many years and was recently elected for president during the general assembly in September 2005.
Mildred Steidle has just completed a background study for a joint IFOAM, UNCTAD and FAO Task force on Harmonization.

With state-of-the-art facilities at the company-owned mills, Herb-Service offers an extensive range of services, and is able to satisfy all its customers’ individual needs.

Nürnberg Messe is the owner of BioFach. BioFach, the world’s premier Organic Trade Fair, is distinguished by its vigour, internationality and innovative energy. Taking place every year in February in Nürnberg, Germany, it brings together 1,900 exhibitors – two thirds from abroad – and 30,000 trade visitors from around a hundred countries. BioFach under the patronage of IFOAM applies strict admission criteria to guarantee the high quality of the products on display is maintained.
Mildred Steidle, supported by the other Organic Services Directors, has been appointed to plan and implement the events programme at BioFach, which runs concurrently with BioFach’s organic fair. This three-year position will start in 2006.

Nürnberg Global Fairs -> top

Nürnberg Global Fairs, the international daughter company of Nürnberg Messe, provides precise planning and organisational support, market consultations and personal services to exhibitors and visitors at all its events. As partner for several new markets, NGF offers strategy and full service support from the original concept to final realization of a project.
Udo Censkowsky is responsible for supporting NGF to establish international BioFach fairs in Latin America.

active IT is very much focused on internal traceabilit and enterprise ressource planning (ERP) for companies working in the food branch.

Together with Intact (please see below) active IT developed a specialised ERP system called TraceNet. It is based on the up to date technology and covers all processes regarding manufacturing, stock management, processing and communication. It facilitates and supports planning, organisation, monitoring and controlling of the chain of custody. TraceNet was specifically developed for the food branch and fits perfect to the needs of PMOs (producer marketing organisations) as well as to all ag-businesses.

Frank Gerriets is responsible for international marketing and sales of TraceNet.

Expectations for food have changed. Not only are taste and health issues decisive factors for today’s consumer, safety has also become an important issue: Consumers want to know where their food comes from, they want to eliminate risks and enjoy their food in safety. Intact works with solutions for these concerns, including appropriate software, such as e-Cert, Flow Web (for traceability) and Nutri Web (for quality management), and EurepGAP certification, to name just a few.
Frank Gerriets is in charge of Intact’s business development and sales in Germany.

BESH is a farmers’ cooperative based in Hohenlohe, an agricultural region in the northern part of the German federal state of Baden Württemberg. In 1988 the cooperative began producing “healthy food” while, in the interest of the consumer, also taking particular responsibility for the environment.
Gerald A. Herrmann supports the cooperative’s quality management development, as well as its strategic positioning.
