As co-founder of the non-for-profit organization Soil & Energy gGmbH (i.Gr.) Organic Services is engaged with the development of sustainable agro-energy projects and social business projects above all in developing countries.
Organic Services is member of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM). Gerald A. Herrmann served IFOAM in various functions among other as president from 2005-2008. Mildred Steidle is engaged in the IFOAM Norm Committee and Udo Censkowsky in the IFOAM Aquaculture Group.
Since 2005 Organic Services is partner organisation of the Trainee programme „Organic Agriculture” (Stiftung Ökologie und Landbau). The trainees work for one year in the partner organisation as “training on the job” and enhance their methodical and individual knowledge in four weeklong trainings. The programme aims to qualify young professionals for guiding roles and to develop the networking and professionalism within the organic food business.
